2 Junior Researcher positions on sustainable urban regeneration

The SUR (Sustainable Urban Regeneration) Lab at Bocconi University is looking for two Junior Researchers, who will contribute to the Lab's research, communication and organisational activities on the sustainability of urban regeneration processes. The candidates will join a multidisciplinary and dynamic research team in an international context, and will take part in the following activities: 

  • Design, develop and undertake innovative research on the evaluation of urban regeneration processes 

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of urban policies and cases of sustainable urban regeneration 

  • Collect and analyse innovative international best practices on sustainable urban regeneration that will support a repository of case studies 

  • Draft research reports and scientific papers on the Lab’s research topics

  • Communicate SUR Lab results across a variety of target audiences, developing different types of communication contents

  • Contribute to the organization of scientific events (e.g. workshop, conferences) on the Lab research topics

Profile 1 – Focus on research activities

  • Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Environmental economics/Real estate economics/Finance. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant work experience and/or holding a pertinent master 

  • Research experience on one or more of the following topics: urban development, energy and climate, circularity, nature-based solutions 

  • Good knowledge of software for statistical analysis 

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in Italian and English 

  • Previous publications in the abovementioned topics are an advantage 

Profile 2 – Focus on communication activities 

  • Post-Graduate Degree in Urban studies/Urban planning/Sustainability science/Environmental sciences/Environmental communication. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant work experience and/or holding a pertinent master 

  • Previous experience on one or more of the following topics: urban development, energy and climate, circularity, nature-based solutions 

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in Italian and English 

  • Previous publications in the abovementioned topics are an advantage 

HOW TO APPLY

Job duration: six months, with possibility of renewal (collaboration contract) 

Salary: in line with compensation standards for the required profile.
