SHAPING THE FUTURE OF CITIES - SUR LAB LAUNCH EVENT
To improve environmental, social, and economic conditions, urban regeneration provides a comprehensive vision through which cities are renewed, redeveloped, or rehabilitated. Urban regeneration is increasingly regarded as a viable strategy to promote new development models which optimize the use of resources, further circularity, enhance resilience, and improve quality of life. Bocconi University is launching the SUR Lab to promote research and education on sustainable urban regeneration at the global level. The new lab will develop and spread knowledge on how regeneration processes generate value for the private sector and for society. Powered by Hines, Intesa Sanpaolo, Milanosesto S.p.A. and Prelios, the SUR Lab is focused on defining challenges and impacts of urban regeneration, with the aim to identify key elements to reshape cities in the post-pandemic era.
