Masterclass serie 2025
15/09/2025

Urban regeneration is emerging as a key driver for addressing the major environmental, economic, and social transformations reshaping contemporary cities. In this context, Bocconi University, within the framework of MUSA project - Spoke 1, is organising a cycle of 4 Masterclasses entitled “Regenerating the City: Strategies and Tools to Manage Transformations and Create Value.”

The initiative aims to equip participants with the knowledge and practical tools necessary to understand and effectively govern the complex processes of urban regeneration. Topics will cover innovative governance models, financial instruments for sustainable projects, methods to evaluate impacts, and approaches to enhance climate neutrality and resilience

Designed for public administrators, technical officers, urban planners, developers, construction companies, asset managers, investors, and other professionals involved in the urban ecosystem, the program offers a dynamic learning experience. Each session combines lectures, case studies, and expert testimonials, with the support of Green Building Council Italia, ensuring a balance between theory and practice.

The Masterclass cycle will take place at Bocconi University on the following dates:

  • September 25: Governance and partnership models in urban regeneration
  • October 2: Financing tools for sustainable urban regeneration
  • October 9: Urban regeneration for climate neutrality and resilience
  • October 16: Evaluating the impacts of urban regeneration

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance, and each Masterclass is recognised with four continuing education credits (CFP) for architects, thanks to the patronage of the Milan Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators.

By bringing together leading experts and practitioners, this initiative aims to foster a deeper understanding of how cities can be reshaped to meet future challenges, striking a balance between innovation, sustainability, and inclusiveness.
