The SUR Lab of Bocconi University has launched Regenerating Cities, a five-episode podcast series as part of the MUSA SCARL Spoke 1 Urban Regeneration, in collaboration with the podcast Città by Will Media.
Edoardo Croci, Director of the SUR Lab, and Benedetta Lucchitta join host Paolo Bovio to explore how urban regeneration can address the pressing environmental, social, and economic challenges facing cities today. Through in-depth discussions, each episode will examine key policies, innovative projects, and real-world impacts, shedding light on the social value these transformations bring to urban communities.
The first episode"Promoting Sustainable Development Through Urban Regeneration", examines how the transformation of underutilized or degraded spaces influences the quality of life, local economies, and social fabric. The discussion features Mario Abbadessa, Head of Transactions Europe & Country Head at Hines Italy, who shares insights on the importance of urban regeneration in fostering sustainable urban development.
