SUR Lab – Sustainable Urban Regeneration Lab at Bocconi University is featured in the latest episode of Città, the podcast by Will that explores how cities are changing and how they are planning their future, now available on Spotify.

After a series of special episodes, Città resumes its conversations with researchers from Bocconi University within the project “Cities in Transition”. The series comprises five episodes, taking listeners on a journey through major Italian and European cities that are experimenting with innovative solutions to reduce emissions and adapt to the climate crisis.

The first episode, titled “Città al 2030: la strategia italiana per lo sviluppo urbano sostenibile”, focuses on Italy’s national approach to sustainable urban development in the coming decade. In this conversation, a Città host and the Director of SUR Lab discuss with the Coordinator of the National Sustainable Development Strategy at the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security.

The discussion explores crucial questions:

  • How advanced is the urban transition in Italian cities today?
  • How is coordination ensured between municipalities, metropolitan areas, and the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security?
  • And how does the National Urban Agenda for Sustainable Development translate into concrete urban policies?

This episode is part of the broader collaboration between SUR Lab and the Città podcast series, which brings together urban planners, architects, sustainability experts, and policy makers to reflect on how cities can combine climate resilience, social inclusion, and long-term economic vitality.

Tune in on Spotify to stream the episode and explore how cities are navigating the path toward a more sustainable future.
