SUR Lab presented its 2025 Annual Position Paper on financing instruments for climate-neutral and climate-resilient urban regeneration during its annual workshop at Bocconi University. Bringing together experts from academia, public institutions and the financial sector, the event explored innovative funding solutions, key barriers and enabling conditions to scale up investments that support sustainable urban transformation.

On 2 July 2026, SUR Lab at Bocconi University will present its Annual Position Paper on financing instruments for climate-neutral and climate-resilient urban regeneration. The workshop will bring together experts from academia, public institutions, finance and real estate to discuss innovative funding solutions for sustainable urban transformation.

A study conducted by SUR Lab within the MUSA project highlights the role of university campuses as drivers of urban regeneration. Based on a survey of 4,000 respondents in Milan, the research shows that safety, green spaces and pedestrian areas are among the most valued benefits generated by campus-led urban transformation.
