European cities facing sustainable development

All around the world, cities are searching for solutions to face the climate crisis. The Covenant of Mayors and many other initiatives are rising to support cities in paving the path for a sustainable future. But are those initiatives effective and where are we now?

Professor Edoardo Croci in the Group of Experts Supporting the CIPU

Edoardo Croci, Director of SUR Lab and Professor at the Department of Social and Political Sciences in Bocconi, has been appointed as a member of the group of experts supporting the Interministerial Committee for Urban Policies (CIPU). The Interministerial Committee for Urban Policies works at the definition of urban policies and the urban agenda.

The first edition of the course in Economics of Sustainable Urban Regeneration at Bocconi University - Department of Social and Political Sciences - will start on February 3.

Sustainable mobility and innovative finance for urban regeneration

Sustainable urban regeneration is at the core of scientific and public debate. After the COVID-19 crisis, massive resources will be invested in cities to ensure a just, green recovery. Relevant issues range from new forms of mobility to new models of sustainable finance, including the role of Public-Private Partnerships.

Professor Edoardo Croci, SUR Lab Director and Professor of Practice at Bocconi University, will participate in three events this week, discussing those crucial topics.

SUR Lab Launch Event: How can we shape the future of our cities?

Professor Edoardo Croci, SUR Lab Director and member of the Management Committee at GREEN in Bocconi University, has been elected chairperson of the Urban Europe Research Alliance (UERA), a European network that brings together 58 European research organizations involved in urban studies and innovation.
