Dialoghi su Milano: la città come risorsa comune

On Saturday 20th of April 2024, from 9:30 to 16:00, the Politecnico di Milano will host the seminar "Dialoghi su Milano: la città come risorsa comune", as part of the Satellite Event of the New European Bauhaus Festival 2024. The seminar will provide citizens, associations and stakeholders with insights and best practices to foster urban sustainability and social inclusion. The SUR Lab Director will discuss housing rights and urban regeneration.

The New European Bauhaus Festival 2024: Satellite Event in Milan

The New European Bauhaus partners based in Milan host and coordinate a three-day Satellite Event (18-19-20 April 2024) within the New European Bauhaus Festival 2024. The events will engage citizens, associations and stakeholders through cultural exhibitions, debates and educational activities to identify the key themes to design and guide the future of Milan towards a more sustainable and inclusive city.

ESG and urban regeneration - seminar

On Thursday, March 21st 2024, from 10:00 to 13:00, the seminar "ESG and urban regeneration" will be host at the Assimpredil Ance headquarters. The event will examine the application of the ESG framework in the context of sustainable urban regeneration.

The EU directive "Green Homes" and the italian challenges

The recast of the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (also called the "Green Homes" directive) mandates stringent emissions and energy usage reduction for the EU’s buildings. Professor Edoardo Croci, director of SUR Lab, highlights the unique challenges that Italy will face, considering that over 60% of building assets are in the lowest energy classes. To meet the directive requirements, significant investments and a more stringent building renovation plan are necessary, including new incentives aligned with the European and National climate strategies.

LE RESIDENZE UNIVERSITARIE: UNA RISPOSTA AL GAP DI ALLOGGI PER STUDENTI

Cities attract each year thousands of off-site students thanks to the high quality of university programs, the concentration of urban services and the overall job opportunities. However, cities are now facing a student housing emergency, due to the gap between accommodation demand and house availability, quality and accessibility. On November 29th, Bocconi University and MUSA project organise a workshop focusing on analysing the current situation of student accommodation in Italy and in Milan.
